My Analysis on the PNG Media Policy v4 - 2023.

This comprehensive document outlines the policy's intent , provides insights into the PNG media landscape, and highlights key trends and issues in the media sector.    Due to the changing world, we live in today, the Department of Information and Communication Technology has embarked on developing a national media policy to capture developments of the PNG Media.   However , t he PNG Media Council president, Neville Choi, says some aspects of the media need government support. These include the protection and training of journalists. He added that the media is best left as a self-regulating industry.    Below is a summary of the National Media Policy from my perspective.
